Auction house RM Sotheby’s is going to during the first four months of next year 140 special cars to auction off. The vehicles, mostly from the eighties and nineties, are all from the same owner.
According to the auction house, the owner has all of his dream cars from the past four decades collected. This will now go to an as yet unknown cause in the sale.
The collection contains 34 models of Mercedes-Benz of 27, BMW’s and 12 cars of Rolls-Royce. In addition, there are a number of well-known Japanese sports cars under the hammer, such as the Acura NSX, the Toyota Supra and the Nissan 300 ZX.
the highlight of the auction, according to RM Sotheby’s Ferrari Superamerica 2006. It is one of only 43 copies produced with a manual gearbox. The auction house put in at least 575.000 euros.
Three veilingrondes planned
The first part of the collection will be in February in Paris to be auctioned. Here will include the Ferrari show, just like a BMW Alpina B7 Turbo from 1982.
In march, there are two auctions in the U.s. state of Florida. Here, not only the Japanese vehicles under the hammer, but also a number of copies of Aston Martin, Bentley and Jaguar.
The last veilingronde stands for april is planned. In Essen, a large number of BMW, Alpina and M-models afgehamerd. Also the AMG models from Mercedes and two very special Porsches were discussed.
